ASEAN countries and Japan

The other day, I came back from Thailand where I attented the Conference called FLLT 2013. On the way there, I dropped by Taiwan and had a night. Then moved to Thailand next day, and spent 4 nights. While staying those countries, I knew, felt and learned a lot about the country itself and of course about English Education. This time I will write about what I did during the travel from two perspectives, the coutry and Education.

First of all, I would like to write about the country where I visited this time and also including the country I had visited in Asia before. Taiwan, the country where is VERY safe, similar to Japan, Japanese friendly, has a lot of delicious food, however somewhat nostargic, is really my favorite. Even though I stayed there only a night, I truely enjoyed the atomosphere, the culture and meeting my friend again after a long time. Since the country is one of Chinese culture affected, I felt the Chinese aspect in many cases. That is not always the reason, however, the country's dynamism at the night market, religious mind, ... are really overwelming that we never have in the country. The dynamism in this country is much more modernizing taling in the technology, keen, gentle nationality toward they are facing that have them more develop. I really wanna visit there much longer next time and see around the country.
As for Thailand, the culture itself is quite different, though there is still Asian smells, that represents Sough-Eastern Asia. Because of the geographic reason, we can see the culture mixed from many surroundings like Islamic, Chinese, Indian cultural countries and so on. Because the country is now steeply developing, they also have their own dynamism in the city all around, even though there are still places have me retrospective. The dynamism of the country is fighting for the day and their future.
Thinking those two countries, there are some points commonly seen even in Korea, China. People in the countries are quite lively, communicative, still active till midnight. Where can we see in Japan very actively functioning after 9, 10 PM even after 0AM in the town ? May be it might be where I live... X(

When it comes to English Education what I learned from the conference, the speakers coming from all around Asia are quite talented, have world standard criteria about their research from the terminology to methodology. Many of them went to the foreign universities like UK, USA and AUS... and had MA, phD there. Of course they are working at universities, though, some of them are working at practical situation and researching. Those are really surpriging for me. Furthermore their English competence itself is quite well trained as English profession. I was forced to recognize mine very poor. I should be more harder in English. Some reseaches are quite well designed, practiced, and had me convince very well, though some are sorry. There are quite well presentated, though, hard to comprehend in s20 mins or so, I will look over the detail from now on through the CD given me, including the research details.

Anyway, I strongly stumilated through the conference and felt the necessity of keeping researching in the long run. Japanese English Education is really needed to be more developed to have students more English talented, to lead, take in charge in Asia and the world.
